of the Pines is a regional
governing body of the Synod
of
the Sun and Presbyterian
Church (USA), supporting
local Presbyterian
congre-Presbytery of the Pines provides resources and assistance to local congregations as they seek pastoral leadership, raise up leaders for the church, engage people in ministry and mission, and promote faithful Presbyterian and Reformed witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the World. There are 65
member
congregations representing 5,900 members in the two-state region that
makes up Presbytery of the Pines. Churches range in size from
a handful to over 1,000 members. The Presbytery
office is located near the
geographic center of the
presbytery in Ruston, Louisiana. Address information is as

(318) 255-9122 Pines Presbytery owns and operates Camp Alabama, located approximately 10 miles Northeast of Ruston in Choudrant, Louisiana. Each Summer Camp Alabama plays host to MedCamp of Louisiana, a special summer camp for handicapped children. The rest of the year Camp Alabama is used for Presbytery retreats, confirmation classes, elder training, women's conferences and youth events. Pines Presbytery also operates Camp of the Pines, located on the North shore of beautiful Lake DeGray, between Arkadelphia and Hot Springs, Arkansas. Camp of the Pines is home to the summer camping programs and recreational ministry of Pines Presbytery. Presbytery Staff
