The Committee on Ministry fulfills all requirements which the Book of Order assigns to the Examinations Committee, and Committee on Ministry. The Committee on Ministry counsels and supports ministers and congregations, and is responsible for care and nurture of minister members, commissioned lay pastors, and certified educators. This committee is also responsible for providing training for commission lay pastors.  Book of Order G-11.0500, G-14.0502)

The Committee on Ministry is composed of eighteen (18) persons with elders and ministers in equal number elected at large. Lay persons serving on the Committee on Ministry must be an elder.  The Stated Clerk serves as the staff resource person.
