Rayville Presbyterian Church

Belcher Presbyterian Church, was organized in 1897 as Red River Presbyterian Church in a vacant store building on Rush Point Plantation. In 1898 the congregation moved to a school building on Briarfield Plantation, and in 1901 the name was changed to The Presbyterian Church of Belcher. The current structure where the congregation worships was build in 1925.

In 1904 the Dixie Presbyterian Church was organized four miles south in Dixie, and the two churches shared pastoral leadership through their history. In 1996 the two churches formally merged.

Strong in faith, love and tradition, the Belcher church continues to witness the Good News of Jesus Christ in Belcher, Dixie, and Gilliam, and worship God in the Reformed Tradition.
